This Big Little Coffee design competition challenged teams to create a small, portable coffee café — a space that could travel, transform, and bring people together around a simple cup of coffee.

Our team designed a playful modular concept built around stacking pink poufs that could be arranged to reveal or hide the café space. The idea was to let function and fun coexist — a setup that could expand, collapse, and adapt to its surroundings like a living sculpture.

Though our concept didn’t take home a prize, it was a valuable exercise in creative collaboration and rapid prototyping. It reminded me how constraints — size, mobility, simplicity — can spark bold ideas, and that sometimes the most joyful designs are the ones that don’t sit still.
