Furniture Design
Designed during my summer abroad — and my first visit to Copenhagen — this project was inspired by how play is seamlessly woven into everyday life there. I wanted to create a piece that reflected that Danish spirit of balance: between beauty, function, and a sense of fun.
I designed and built Lille Gyngestol (“little rocking chair”) from solid wood, focusing on clean lines and gentle movement. The form was meant to feel both elegant and approachable — something that invites you to interact with it, not just look at it.
It was my first experience translating cultural inspiration into physical design. I learned how even small gestures — like the rhythm of a curve or the comfort of motion — can express the joy of play within craftsmanship.
